Is there a petition with central government ( petition.parliament.uk/ )? Should there be one in parallel? They do accept online "votes".

Hi. There is already legislation in the Local Government Act 2000 and that states that the petition must be addressed to the local authority - Croydon Council in this case. We have been instructed that Croydon Council will not accept any online petitions.

Were there to be another petition online, not only would that not be considered by the council as being valid, it may also deprive the valid petition we are running of vital signatures with people potentially feeling they have already signed the online version and therefore there is no need to sign the paper one too.
